The goal of Nursing Home Ministry is to reach out to the adult care facility in Fountain Inn, SC, with the love of our Lord. We take the words of Zechariah 7:9,10 as guiding words from your Lord.
"Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 10And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart."
It is our goal to share the Gospel with those needing salvation and to uplift and encourage those who have a relationship with the Lord. Residents in senior care facilities face new challenges which can be difficult for many of them. We want to be there with God's love.

We Serve:

1. Worship through music and song
Many of the senior generation love the old hymns and they know the words by heart. A wonderful way we connect with them is through playing and singing their favorite hymns and special songs we bring.

2. Bible Teaching
Through topical Bible lessons teaching God's word, we help strengthen and encourage the Christian residents of the nursing homes we serve. We are also salt and light to those who may want to share in our fellowship.

3. Visitation and Prayer Time
After a time of connecting through music and Bible study, we have group prayer and pray individually with residents. It is a chance to hear what is on their hearts and to let them know how much they are loved.

The mission of Shepherds Gate is to sow "the Seed of Hope," Jesus Christ, in the hearts of many in the inner-city of Greenville, SC, and to the ends of the earth. Our mission involves making disciples that can come to experience the grace and forgiveness of God; a family of believers where they can find healing for the things that have hurt and wounded their souls; where they can "belong to believe" that is, where they can be nurtured and discipled into faith in the one true God and in Jesus Christ whom He has sent.
